Walters UK have recently been awarded the Ebbw Vale Streetscape Contract by Willmott Dixon at the old Ebbw Vale Steelworks to renew and remodel a length of the existing public highway – the B4486 Steel Works Road.  The scheme includes widening the existing carriageway to provide a right turning lane at a junction and provision of two bus stops. The works also include new highway drainage, kerbs and pavement construction. 

The works commenced on 14 March and are being carried out under traffic signal control over a 15 week period.  The Walters team includes Project Manager Nick Rolfe; Works Manager Danny Glendon; Engineer Craig Griffiths and Quantity Surveyor Alan Williams.
