Caerau Reclamation Scheme |
Contract Details- The basic aim of this project was to replace an existing 1800 mm Ø stone culvert carrying the River Llynfi with approx. 1500m of concrete/stone lined channel.

- A blockstone lined stilling pond was constructed at the outfall of the new channel.
- Other aspects of the project included:
- erecting 5000 lin m of fencing,
- a 50,000 m3 cut/fill exercise to reprofile the land around the channel,
- installing 5000 lin m of footpath,
- cultivating, seeding and tree planting.
